Rwanda Polytechnic Acknowledges Graduates' Exceptional Project Achievements
Kigali on 9th May 2024: At the Rwanda Polytechnic 7th Graduation Ceremony, hosted at BK Arena on May 9th 2024, IPRC Karongi graduates Tuyishime David, Niyonzima Pascal, and Uwineza Celine were recognized for their outstanding research project titled “Smart Chicken Processing Machine” at the college level.
The latter was designed using innovative technology to process chickens without causing harm during processing. The machine was developed utilizing locally available materials.
They were awarded a cheque worth 1 million, generously provided by Rwanda Polytechnic in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM Rwanda).
It is customary to acknowledge top achievers at all Rwanda Polytechnic Graduation ceremonies. On this particular occasion, awards were presented for the overall best project, the best project within each college, the overall best female, and the best graduate in the B-Tech Program.
The Overall Best Project Award, valued at 2 million, was presented to Nicolle Manzi Karomba & Richard Mbanza Tuyishime from IPRC Kigali for their project titled “IAP Monitoring, Tracking and Online Interaction System”, while the award for the best female in Engineering was bestowed upon Emeline Uwimpuhwe.
On the other hand, Nkubito Muhayeyezu Jean Olivier, a graduate of IPRC-Kigali in Automobile Technology, has emerged as the top performer in the Bachelor of Technology (B-Tech) program.

Since its inaugural graduation in 2018, Rwanda Polytechnic has been awarding prizes to graduates who have demonstrated outstanding performance in their respective fields of study. These awards serve as crucial initial funding for the students' entrepreneurial endeavors.
