From April 20th to 21st, 2024, the Rwanda Polytechnic Inter-colleges Sports Competitions, which began at IPRC Kigali on March 22nd, 2024, with the football category, continued with the basketball competition held at the IPRC Huye court.

The IPRC Karongi Team competed in its inaugural match of the knockout phase against IPRC Ngoma on April 20, 2024, securing a berth in the semifinals on 61-36 points.

Both the semifinals and finals games were played on April 21, 2024, where IPRC Karongi competed against IPRC Musanze in the semifinals. Unfortunately, IPRC Musanze emerged victorious over IPRC Karongi with a score of 127-35 points.

On the opposing side, IPRC Huye faced off against IPRC Kigali in the semifinals, with IPRC Kigali prevailing over the tournament host, IPRC Huye, with a score of 89-83 points.

In the finals, IPRC Musanze competed against IPRC Kigali, but the latter emerged as the victor and overall champion with a score of 95-75 points.

The Rwanda Polytechnic Inter-colleges Sports Competitions will proceed with women's basketball and volleyball teams competing at IPRC Ngoma on May 4th and 5th, 2024. Meanwhile, the men's volleyball matches will be held at IPRC Musanze on May 11th and 12th, 2024.

The competitions are slated to conclude on June 1st, 2024, culminating with a final football match between IPRC Musanze and IPRC Gishari, followed by an awards ceremony honoring the winners across all disciplines.
