TVET Youth Challenge Competition 2nd Edition, IPRC Karongi holds a pre-selection
Karongi, on June 2, 2021: This Wednesday, the Deputy Principal in charge of Academics and Training (DPAT), Leonard MANIRAMBONA launched a pre-selection at the Institution level for the 2nd Edition of TVET Youth Challenge Competition.
TVET youth Challenge Competition is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Culture in partnership with the Ministry of Education through Rwanda Polytechnic (RP), Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOIKA)-Rwanda and UNDP-Rwanda.
This competition was organized to instill the entrepreneurship spirit among students and support promising projects while connecting practical studies acquired in schools to problems in our communities and inspire innovations.
Eligible participant should be a youth aged between 16-30 years enrolled under any TVET Higher Learning Institution in Rwanda, having a project or proven feasible prototype, having engaged in entrepreneurship and demonstrating a commitment to developing the presented project.
Contestants started application in May, 2021 filling forms at their respective schools, then they will have a competition at the school level where top 6 contestants will be awarded and continue to the National level, have a boot camp and capacity building after which they will compete to select 20 best projects to be awarded at the National level.
In this pre-selection, students applicants pitched 23 projects from which successful ones will compete at IPRC Karongi level. 6 successful contestants will be awarded at the school level, and top three of them will represent the institution at the national level competition.

This second edition of TVET Youth Challenge will award 70 projects around 61 million whereas the first edition in 2019 awarded 42 winners with 33 million Rwandan Francs.
